OUR NEXT MEETING: TUESDAY September 22 at 6:30pm at Saint Catharine Catholic  Church, 500 S Gould Rd, Bexley.

Please BRING CASH for the Raffle Basket Drawing and the 50/50 Raffle. All tickets  are $1 or $5 for 6.

Mandy Manno will be this month’s presenter. She is a certified Laura Heine instructor and has  some of her own patterns to share with us. Join us for a fun presentation!

BYLAWS:

Judy Sagara will be presenting the proposed amendments to the Bylaws at the September and  October meetings. We will vote on them at the November meeting.

AQS VOLUNTEER INFO:

Try to carpool or get dropped off. Parking is $30 per day.

The organizers are suggesting that we park in the parking garages next to the North Market  across High Street. The wing our show is in is on the High Street side. You will have name  badges. I'll let you know if I find out where! I got an email with my show badge in it to print at  home. That may be what we all get.

Our booth is 1103. Cheryl Nash and Karen Jackson will get the quilt hung on Monday or Tuesday when we are working at the load in. There is some food available for purchase in our wing  and of course many choices at the North Market. Try to get to the table a few minutes before  your shift starts to communicate anything needed.

TREASURER’S UPDATE:

Keep it up with the raffle quilt ticket sales - $435 has come in so far, but still a ways to go to wards the $750 goal. As of September 17, 2026, the bank account balance is $5,576.31, significantly lower than last month but as expected since the out of town retreat occurred.

I have not had anyone reach out with interest in the Treasurer role - please email if you want more behind  the scenes info! As a reminder, if you have an expense or deposit you can find the correspond ing form on the website.

WAYS AND MEANS:

I would like to ask for fabric donations for use in making raffle baskets. Jewel tone fabrics (solids, batiks, prints). Doesn't have to be fat quarters- leftover precuts from a finished project or  remnants big enough to do something with. Orphan blocks are also welcome!

I can also use donations of quilt themed items such as decorative knickknacks, mugs or jewelry. Judy Starr-Lintner

MONTHLY BASKET RAFFLE:

Buy tickets for $1 or 5/$6. A new winner every month will win all kinds of quilting related items!

MONTHLY 50/50 RAFFLE:

Buy tickets for $1 or 5/$6. Winner will get half the money. The other half goes into the Guild  Treasury.

BIRTHDAY FQ RAFFLE:

Please bring your FQ’s to the swap table ahead of the meeting to put in the bag.

2027 Birthday FQ Swap - Sign-ups will take place for next year’s Birthday FQ swap at the October and  November meetings.

How does the Birthday FQ swap work? Each participant signs up for a fabric of their choice (polka  dots, batiks, Grunge, Tula Pink, etc). You will receive a list at the beginning of the year of each participant’s birthday month and fabric choice. At the meeting for that month, bring a FQ of that person’s fabric choice to the meeting, place it in their bag, and they will go home with a bag full of FQ’s for their  birthday! The more people that participate, the more FQ’s everyone will receive the month of their birth day…how fun is that?!? Don’t worry, you don’t have to purchase a brand new FQ for everyone…you  can ’shop’ your stash first, then you only have to fill in the rest! We’ll have more details at the meeting  or stop by swap table for more information.

MONTHLY FQ RAFFLE:

Blenders (tiny, textured or tone-on-tone prints that ‘read’ as a solid). You will receive a raffle ticket for each FQ you donate to the raffle.

MEMBERSHIP:

The membership list on the website will be updated to reflect 2026 members as of the August meeting. If you see something inaccurate in the list, please contact Valerie  at vsrake@gmail.com.

RETREATS:

The 2027 Spring retreat will be in Parkersburg, WV. The dates are April 29-May 2. More info to come  closer to the date.
