November Meeting:

Our November meeting will be on NOVEMBER 19, which is the 3rd Tuesday of the month, due to Thanksgiving.  We will reveal the new website and vote for next year’s officers.  We still need a VP, an equipment manager, and a Membership chairperson.

The speaker will be Brian McCoy from Bolts & Quarters Quilt Shop in West Virginia.   Find him online at The Redneck Quilter.

There will be NO MEETING IN DECEMBER.

Our January meeting will be via zoom.  Holly Ann Knight from String & Story in Duluth GA will be our speaker.

Quilt Show:

Will be at our new location, St. Catharine’s Church in Bexley.  February 25, 2025.  We have the room reserved from noon to 8pm.  Judging will be held during the day.  Kandra will need volunteers to scribe and help move quilts around.  The show itself will start at 6:30. It will be bed-turning style.  The public is welcome to come and pay $5 at the door.  It will be $5 to submit each quilt as well.  Every quilt will have a story, short or long.

Sue Adkins is in charge of Raffle Baskets.  Let her know if you want to create a basket by yourself or with friends.  Tickets will be sold, and the winner gets the basket.

We will also be raffling an antique quilt that was donated to Jennifer and quilted by Catie.  Watch for tickets for this as well.

Mary Hoffman announced a block swap.  Find the pattern at leilagardunia.com.  Make 3 sets of 5 scrappy triangles and bring them to the November meeting to swap.  We may do more in January or February if people love it.

Judy Starr-Lintner is organizing a holiday cookie exchange for the November meeting.  Make 5 dozen cookies and trade 4.  Sell the 5th dozen to the non-bakers.

Our speaker for October was Rachel Wallis, speaking about Community Quilting, History and Activism.  More about her can be found at rachelawallis.com or @radicalquilter on Instagram.
