November 2025 Newsletter

This will be a short newsletter due to the short time between October and November’s meeting! I hope everyone enjoyed our presentation by Sherri Lynn Wood. I have a whole new appreciation and understanding of improvisational quilting. Possibly something to explore in the future!

We congratulate and welcome our officers for next year:

• Co-Presidents: Melanie Dodd and Karen Jackson

• Co- Vice Presidents: Jennifer Thurmond and Gayle Vargo

• Secretary: Claire Paul

• Treasurer: Betsy Truex

• Valerie Rake has volunteered to take over the membership chair for next year.

• The other chairs remain the same.

A round of applause for all of the people who work hard to make our guild great!

The audio visual and wifi issues have been resolved. The church basement now has wifi and we have purchased some cables to help with connection issues.

Our November meeting will be our Holiday Party. We will have a pot luck dinner and mug rug exchange. There will also be some door prizes and I am sure lots of fellowship with other guild members. I hope to see many smiling faces November 18 th !!! We will also have the swap table for anyone who wants to participate. The Pot Luck sign-up link is available on FaceBook and here in the newsletter and on the event page. If you do not want to bring a food item, you can still come and eat for $5.

Carol and I have enjoyed serving as presidents this past year. We hope you have enjoyed our presenters this year and have had the opportunity to meet some new quilting friends.
