June 2025 Newsletter

Happy summer vibes to everyone.  It is finally starting to feel like summer. I hope everyone enjoyed meeting Ricki and seeing her beautiful creations in May.  Don’t forget about going and seeing her exhibit at the Ohio State James hospital.

Our June meeting will be our picnic and “yard” sale.  Everything will be held inside in our meeting space at St Catherine’s.  Table space is $5. I will be there at 5:30 for people to start setting up.  There is a Perfect Potluck sign-up on the Facebook page pinned in the featured section. Here is the link also: https://www.PerfectPotluck.com/RJLE5910. We will not have a business meeting or show and tell. We will play a couple games. We’re asking that everyone bring a fat quarter to participate.  There will some door prizes also, so I hope we have a super turn out – the more the merrier!

Retreat Info!

The in town retreat is July 25th-27th at the Reynoldsburg Senior Center. This will be a no frills fundraising retreat for the guild.  To register, please go to the SHOP section on the web page.

The fall retreat is scheduled for September 4-7, 2025 at the Berlin Resort. Registration will open at the July guild meeting. As before, you can either pay by check or pay online.  Please direct any questions to Monique Muncy or Sam Chapman.

Birthday Fat Quarter and Fat Quarter Raffle from Betsy Zimmerman

This month’s birthday is Betsy Truex-Powell- low volumes on white/cream

Instead of a fat quarter for a raffle everyone bring a fat quarter to participate in a game.

Friendship Swap from Mary Hoffman

The Friendship Swap has been going great! I love seeing the blocks that people have made as I receive each tote. Remember to the bring the tote you have and pass it on to the next person, even though it’s not a regular meeting.  A new swap will be announced soon.  Get your 1930’s scraps ready!

Ways and Means from Judy Starr-Litner

Judy wants to have a table for those interested to buy donated left over Everything But the Machine Totes supplies.  If you have any left over zippers, webbing, hardware, fold-over elastic that you would like to donate, get in touch with Judy.  She will assemble kits and have them for sale at the June meeting and prior to the July class.

Newsletter Mailings

Several people have indicated they have not received past newsletters.  Please check with your friends to see if they did receive the newsletter.  If you learn of anyone who does not receive it please let me know.  I am not very techy but I’ll try my best to figure it out.  Also, thanks to Valerie Rake the newsletter is always posted on the web page for easy access.

Happy summer sewing!
