Spring Retreat

Event Type(s): hotelRetreats

The Spring Retreat is an out-of-town, weekend retreat that takes place at the Berlin Resort. We schedule our out-of-town retreats to correspond to local activities in the Amish community in and around Berlin, Ohio. It is a super fun weekend, full of sewing and fellowship! This retreat is open to members only.

Retreat Cost

The cost of the retreat is dependent on how many nights you are staying as well as if you have a roommate or are getting your own room. You may specify any of these, but please note that if you have a roommate, you must stay the same nights or pay an additional fee for the remaining night. Fees are as follows:

  • Two Nights at Double-Occupancy: $170
  • Three Nights at Double-Occupancy: $220
  • Two Nights at Single-Occupancy: $280
  • Three Nights at Single-Occupancy: $390

Online Registration

We are doing online registration for the Spring Retreat this year. We will be accepting registrations from active Guild members, without payment, that will start at 9:00pm EST on March 22nd, after our March Guild Meeting. This will hold your spot in line, as registrations for our retreats typically go fast.

NOTE: We are at or close to capacity for the Spring Retreat. If you register now, you may be placed on a waitlist.

Once we have approximately 50 members registered, we will continue taking registrations but those individuals will go on the waitlist. At that time, those who have registered and made the cut-off will be sent a link to pay for the retreat online. These members will need to have their payment in by the time specified or will risk losing their place. We will keep registration open through April 1st, 2022.

Retreat Details

Each participant will receive more detailed information in the mail including your discount coupons for the quilt shops. You can do a little shopping on your way to retreat!

A light dinner will be served Thursday night at 6 pm. We have a fun project planned for Friday evening about 7pm. A short supply list and more information will be included in your mailing. The hotel also includes a continental breakfast each day. Doors will open on Thursday at noon. Due to Sunday being Mother’s Day, the sewing room will close at 2 pm.

There will be no machine cleaning offered at retreat due to not meeting minimum numbers by the machine tech. Chestnut Ridge Sewing Center does do same day cleaning with an appointment and an additional charge.

The committee is excited about retreat and looking forward to meeting and making new friends and getting a bit of sewing done as well. Can’t wait to see you there! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Committee Chairs Debby Warthen or Caren Eicke via phone in their numbers listed in the directory.
