October Guild Meeting

Event Type(s): pagesGuild Meetings

Our October Meeting will begin with our business meeting, giving all members an update on what is currently going on with the guild and what is coming up. This is will be followed by our program for the meeting.

For this month’s meeting, Janet Miller will be sharing a presentation on Hand Quilting & Crochet. Learn more about Janet Miller at her website: CityStitcher.com or read more below.

As time allows, we will finish the Guild Meeting with Show and Tell, in which members will share and showcase their quilts or quilted projects.

About Our Presentor: Janet Miller

Janet Miller was always interested in art and folk art from childhood. Janet Millers’ father says he remembers her mass-producing artwork as a young child, so the manufacturer label also fits her well!

Janet Miller has a B.S. degree in design from the University of Cincinnati. After college she designed Junior Sportswear in St. Louis, and did some free lance designing in California. After marriage and children, Janet Miller started The City Stitcher with Cross Stitch Designs (leaflets and chart packs).

Janet Miller began quilting when she was 12. So, she’s been doing that for over 40 years. Being left-handed, gives her a different perspective in design, so people say. Lefties are supposed to be creative!
